Ballot Recommendations

Consistent with our dedication to Practicality and Keep It Simple, especially regarding government, we already know that Carl DeMaio of San Diego and Reform California is dedicated to these very principles.  He has a radio talk show, and a website.  His website contains a list of everything on the San Diego County ballot, which includes Statewide candidates and Statewide propositions.

The same comments about Carl, above, also apply to “John and Ken” of KFI 640 Radio, based in Los Angeles (but with a very strong signal that extends hundreds of miles).   

We encourage our readership/club members to consult the websites mentioned above for all elections.

As to the Carlsbad Elections coming during 2022, we encourage District One voters to vote for Melanie Burkholder to join the city council.

We support Jim Desmond to be re-elected to the County Board of Supervisors.

​

We also support the “Grand Avenue Promenade,” promulgated by a private, small group of unpaid, proud, and knowledgeable long-time residents of Carlsbad.   Worth checking into, and supporting.
