Best Buy has best people who struggle to overcome the WORST computer system on Earth.

Posted 12-13-23

Bought a TV 2.5 years ago with 5-year extended warranty. Became defective, so took it back to their Oceanside store during October, then heard nothing for 7 weeks. During those 7 weeks, I was in that store a couple of times for other things, and, upon asking status of the returned tv, I was told to "go stand in line at the Geek Squad, because these computers won't give us that information."

In early December, Best Buy informed me that a 100% refund of the defective tv had been credited to me, so on December 10, I went to the store to buy a new tv.

Their computer had my address as that of rental property thirty miles from my home. How incredibly confusing to buy a refrigerator for rental property! (duh!)

The purchse of the new tv was delayed by thirty minutes because of their difficulty finding the credit for the defectivie tv. I had to sign my name on the signature screen eight times. A separate transaction is required to buy an extended warranty on everything they sell. I received email stating "your warranty has been canceled." Plus THIRTEEN MORE EMAILS! And because their computer system is obviously terrible, buyers must leave the store with printed copies of everything, for which I required a folder. It took six minutes of waiting for associate to return with folder.

One thousand times worse than buying any new car! And I still think I was overcharged, but it is hard to be sure because their receipts are a nightmare to decipher, decode, and understand. But the people are good; they really are.
