Job Vacancy: Grinch. Apply at Worst City Hall in USA, namely Carlsbad

The fun and joyful (to most people) activities the unidentified bureaucrat objects to include temporary/seasonal opportunities for face-painting, stage performances, free games, inflatable bounce houses, picnics, corn maze, and fund-raisers.

The undeveloped /just dirt location abuts the very noisy I-5 freeway, a lagoon, and also "Car Country." The 4th side, to the east, abuts even more vacant land. While there, most people have to speak louder than normal just for normal conversation , because of freeway noise.

The two main activities at this field are to raise strawberries and/or pumpkins. But no matter what is occurring, it is extremely unlikely that any of the above activities create ANY noise that can be heard at ANY residence in Carlsbad.

The harassed (for more than a year) business owner of the Carlsbad Strawberry Company chose to say these words to an all-powerful government commission: "What we built was a family -friendly agricultural environment where adults and kids can safely play. We're not a fairground or carnival. I was told many times by city staff there were many letters of complaint. We asked staff three times to see the letters. We had to make a "Freedom Of Information Act" request, and there were no letters. There was just one phone call against us."

We might never know of the anti-American bureaucrat who received the call. But at the time of this writing, October 2022, a Lefty Lawyer is running for city council. His number one bullet point in his ads is that he has enjoyed and prospered from bringing civil lawsuits against US companies. Fortunately, his main rival is Melanie Burkholder, who is very pro-family, decent, and practical; not bothered private enterprise whatsoever. Melanie stepped forward, along with others, to successfully stop the harassment of this wonderful business. We encourage all fair-minded people to vote for Melanie.

A hateful government bureacracy usually becomes so unwieldy that a decent, pro-business mayor, such as Matt Hall, cannot intervene to stop the travesty.
