Sept 2023. Yes, Virginia, there is a country named Georgia, and it borders Russia.
Joe Stalin was born in Georgia, and eventually became Premier (ruthless dictator) of the Soviet Union for a lot of years, including all of WW II. His son was captured by the Germans, who suggested a prisoner swap to Stalin. Stalin declined, so the Germans executed his son.
Stalin was responsible for the annihilation of 30 million people who he disrespected in the Soviet Union and neighboring countries, to include Georgia.
Since 1945, many citizens of Georgia have been "thankful that Stalin defeated Germany in WW II." Therefore, there is a Stalin Museum in Georgia. During September 2023, a group of 18 Americans were taken there by their pre-arranged tour guide. The Marine saw a large outdoor statue of Stalin, and was proudly photographed with both middle fingers high in the air, directed at Stalin.
Another statue of Stalin, life-size, was on the inside, and some people were proudly photographed standing respectfully next to that statue. The Marine made negative comments about what was happening. Husband-and-wife Lefties from California, of course, chided and criticized the Marine.
Do you suppose there is a statue of Osama Bin Laden somewhere in America?
